Fees are $230 per session and are eligible for a Medicare or private health fund rebate (please see rebate details below). Concessional fees may be considered in cases of financial hardship or if psychotherapy extends beyond the rebate period. Sessions typically run for 50 minutes.
Rebates are available for individual sessions through Medicare and certain private health funds. If you plan to claim through a private health fund, please check with your provider to confirm coverage for psychology services.
To access Medicare rebates, a referral from a GP or psychiatrist under the Medicare Better Access Scheme is required. Medicare provides rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, with the current rebate for a psychology session being $98.95 (meaning an out-of-pocket fee will be $131.05 per session).
A GP Mental Health Care Plan is not necessary to access psychological services but can help reduce costs. Private referrals are also accepted.
If you have any questions about fees or rebates, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
