About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist practising in Shenton Park, Perth. I have experience working both privately and within inpatient hospital settings, supporting individuals across a broad range of psychological difficulties, from life transitions and relationship challenges to complex trauma and severe mental health conditions.
Many people come to therapy feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in painful relationship patterns, disconnected from themselves or others, or exhausted from carrying things alone for too long - maybe forever. Others may struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, anger, trauma, or emotions that feel difficult to understand or manage.
Therapy can provide a space to slow things down, make sense of painful or confusing experiences, and begin exploring patterns that may sit outside awareness. Often, people come to therapy without fully knowing why they feel the way they do, only that something feels difficult, repetitive, overwhelming, or hard to keep carrying.
My Approach
I take a gentle, open, and relational approach to therapy, with a deep consideration of each person’s unique history, inner world, values and ways of relating. My aim is not only to understand the immediate difficulties someone may be facing, but also the broader emotional and relational patterns shaping their experience over time.
I aim to create a space where people can begin to find words for their experiences, emotions, and parts of themselves that may have long felt difficult to understand, express, or make sense of. I'm committed to walking alongside a person as they move toward a life that is more sustainable, meaningful, and fruitful.
Treatment
I work with adults and adolescents and my therapeutic approach is primarily rooted in a psychodynamic framework. However, I integrate elements of Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) depending on what is best suited to the person.
If you're considering therapy, feel free to reach out to discuss how we might work together.
